For all of you who are firm lovers of neutrals who have clung to this trend for the past few years... it's time to shake things up! How about broadening your horizons and adding a splash of colour to your wardrobe for 2023? Want to know what colours are "in" for this year??? Read on....

How do I know what's trending? Well, I have scanned the runways for you, spotted the trends and I’m communicating them to you in this blog, you can thank me later. Colour trends are easy to spot, so this should be pretty accurate, and I've found these 5 shades cropped up again and again on the 2023 runways. For a quick way to refresh your look this year, start wearing these tones.

1. Pretty Violet

It might not be Pantone's Colour of the Year for 2023—Viva Magenta— but we think that the pretty lilacs and pastel purples that dominated the runways are even chicer! Update your wardrobe with a lilac tee or a new sundress.

Instead of a single color, one theme that had a major impact on the runways this season was icy pastels, shades of lavender featured everywhere. I'm especially keen on trying this trend, as I just know it will play well with my wardrobe of more classic neutrals. Pretty pastel lilacs are here to stay and are super easy to style with silver/neutral accessories or light washed denim shorts or jeans.

The best selling Arabella Wrap Dress is back in Lilac from Ebby and I! This style has been really popular for its flattering shape, interesting hemline and easy to wear styling.

2. All black everything

Ok so we know what you're thinking... black isn't a trend! It's a wardrobe staple (i've heard those words come out of my mouth before, true story). It is, but this year it's really a trend (we can thank cult show 'Wednesday' for this I'm sure!). It featured top to toe across the entire spectrum of runways at the 2023 fashion weeks, so it's definitely worth noting. Especially as this is Spring Summer we are talking about.

3. Zesty Lime

This zingy shade of lime green cropped up in all the major collections at the fashion weeks. It is, without doubt, one of the biggest colour trends for 2023. It's not for everyone we know! Think statement lime dresses for that special occasion to make people say WOW where did you get that?

Palm Collective Dress

Looking for an evening dress suitable for those balmy Summer nights? The Elise one shoulder dress will have people saying "WOW you look amazing!"

4. Fresh White

Akin to the black category above, I'm sure some of you will argue that white is not a "trend"; it's timeless. Here in, however, lies its power. Designers made white feel even fresher by exploring it in various fabrications—everything from silk to vinyl—and that's precisely how we should be wearing it this year. Think maxi dresses in cotton, with pretty lace details and timeless white mini dresses.

5. Lady in Red

If Zesty Lime isn't up your street, then another bold colour option you can try which is arguably more commercial is saffron. This vivid shade of red was hard to ignore on the catwalks and was mostly worn head to do in suiting, dresses and hosiery.

The ULTIMATE red dress is the strappy salerno midi from Staple the Label. This best selling style is uber comfortable and features pockets! Which we are obsessed with BTW.
