Hi, I’m Kate, the owner and Creative Director of She Creates Stories.

An Australian mother of two wonderful girls, I’ve called Malaysia and Singapore home for the past 12 years.

Like many women living in warm, humid climates, I’ve always searched for clothing that’s not only stylish and high quality, but genuinely comfortable to wear. I’ve also long sought to support Australian brands and designers through my purchasing decisions.

Australia is home to an incredible range of designers creating beautiful pieces that are just right for this lifestyle, but they’re not always easy to find overseas.

And that’s exactly the problem our founder, Rebecca Metcalfe, set out to solve when she founded She Creates Stories in Hong Kong in 2020. With a career in retail buying, Bex - as she is known and loved by so many - was inspired to create an online fashion destination for women, featuring affordable, quality pieces that will go the distance.

The brand moved to Singapore in 2022 when Bex and her young family relocated here. While we’re sad to see Bex leaving the Little Red Dot as her family repatriates to the UK, we’re thrilled that She Creates Stories will remain in Singapore, continuing to help women here, across Asia, and around the world feel confident in what they wear.

We remain committed to everything that has made She Creates Stories so successful and so loved, and we look forward to continuing to clothe and style our community. That means buying in small quantities and finding clothing that fits a wide range of bodies.
