The SCS take on Euro Packing
Packing for Europe, or any summer vacay for that matter is all about keeping some room for shopping, right? But we’ve all still got to look fabulous both day and night. Sometimes there is limited time for shopping overseas between the kids, sightseeing and down time. Let us do the hard work for you before you go. Here’s the SCS take on what is a must for your suitcase…
In terms of outfits, it’s all about packing smart. Select items you can wear multiple times and layer for different looks.
Linen is always an excellent choice as there is no need to stress about ironing and you can roll your pieces up in your suitcase. A bright maxi like our Marcella Dress pictured below from Palm Collective can be worn day or night and is effortless and chic. It's available in Latte, or White.
Another good option is to mix and match tops with skirts or shorts. We love a feminine ruffle such as the Zoe top that you can pair with denim shorts for a casual day exploring. Whereas linen pants like our Pool side pant double for both a dinner piece and are an excellent option for flying.
Featured above is the Zoe linen top in Lilac.
A beautiful dress for cruising around the Italian Coast or Greece is the Monte Linen Dress from Palm Collective. You can wear the sleeves up or off the shoulder and it is giving us Amalfi Coast Vibes!
Being comfortable is super important whilst playing tourist, and you cannot beat a flowy dress, we adore the Las Palmas midi. Paired with a super cute (yet comfy) sandal is imperative - no one wants a blister en route to Da Adolfo.
A wide brim hat is crucial to keeping your skin safe, however they can be super tricky to pack so keep this in mind. A cute visor is always an option and will take up far less room. We love Lack of Colour for all things hats!
Whilst near impossible, try and limit your swimwear options (we know it is so hard!) but we can guarantee you’ll always find a set you love abroad and come home with many more. Of course with swimwear you want to feel super confident in a piece that hugs in all the right places - Infamous swim are known for their incredible cuts and quality fabric. Our favourite design is the Safari Animal Bikini in the Ginger bottoms can either be worn high waisted for a cheeky cut or low waisted for a more modest look. The cut of the Gia Bikini Top is super flattering and goes up to a size XL. We also love that you can also match with your minis! Check our our mini range available at She Creates Stories.
On a more practical level:
- Packing cubes are a godsend for organizing your luggage, these Muji ones are great quality and their cream pots are also a good option for your skincare if you want to reduce the amount you take
- A quality spf like Ultraviolette available at Lane Crawford
- Workout gear that is sweat wicking in case you don’t have time to wash in between uses.
We hope wherever you’re going this summer you have a great time.
